My California Broker's License (# 00755913)  was earned by completing a core curriculum study of fifteen (15) required semester evening classes over a period of years while being fully employed outside the real estate profession.  This endeavor led to the issuance of the diploma, "Achievement in Real Estate" by Hartnell College, Salinas, Ca, that benefits my clients and the public's welfare to this day.  In addition I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) and a Master of Arts degree (M.A.). 

Obtaining and maintaining the highest level of study and licensing may be satisfactory for many, but I have continued  my studies  beyond any dictated by law, enabling me to obtain these Nationally recognized professional designations:

• CRS  Certified Residential Specialist.  Awarded only to agents who have a proven sales' track record and have taken prescribed courses that further their profession growth.  In addition, local  agents are able to connect with counterparts in their client's destination city and together they  monitor the details of the common goal and interest of their client with care and attention. 
• GRI Graduate, Realtors Institute (#8779).  A professional real estate arm of the National Association of Realtors, Chicago, Il.  Through its program, graduate Realtors learn current tools and hone established ones to keep  their clients on point in the evolving 21st Century.
• ABR Accredited Buyers Representative.  Like a Seller who signs a listing agreement with an agent, this writing provides a relationship between a Buyer and  Realtor with duties and obligations for each.  Every buyer today should explore the benefits of this document with their representative.   
• SFR Short Sale, Foreclosure, Resource.  Issued by the National Association of Realtors, this designation evolved from the distressed real estate market following the collapse of the bubble that burst in the late 2007 and remains a scourge on today's economic landscape.  Realtors are  a resource for distressed  homeowners  looking for assistance and direction who feel they are at the end of their rope.  Free access is available for these folks and advance fees are forbidden by law.  This format is  one of many to publicize this message. 
• CDPE Cerfified Distressed Property Expert.  While I hold this designation, it is NOT recognized by any arm or branch of the National Association of Realtors or the California or even the Monterey County Assoication of Realtors.  The CDPE has a great web site (George4ShortSales.info) for anyone wishing to learn more about the short sale process and the organization is often cited nationally as the best for training professionals in the dynamics of the Short Sale.

Professionally, I am affiliated with the National Association of Realtors (Chicago, Il), Honorary Member-for-Life of the California Association of REALTORS (Los Angeles), and the Monterey County Association of Realtors (Del Rey Oaks, Ca).  I strive to keep keep clients informed, educated, and protected before and after any transfer of properties occur.  An advocate of continuous education, I feel compelled to exceed the minimal standards of real estate law and practices codified in the California Civil Code and Legislative standards established in law by the Department of Real Estate, the licensing entity for California agents for over 100 years.

Although Calfornia real estate professionasl are licensed by the Department of Real Estate in Sacramento, Ca.,no two agents practice their craft in a like manner.   Of the approximately 1250 local Realtor members of the Monterey County Association, each performs his job his way.  You will want to compare your expectations with the written plan and  promises of others.  Your selection must offer the greatest benefit and protection for your most cherished and valuable assests, including your family and loved ones.
